Brancusci (blue)

The truncated cones that form the body of this vase reminded me of the work of one of my favorite sculptors, Constantin Brancusi. Fired to 2381° F (nearly the melting point of steel!) for a lifetime of enduring strength and beauty, the Brancusi vase is sealed on the inside to be water-tight. This version is finished on the outside with a blue stain, giving it an irregular, velvety surface.
